TOWNHOUSE BUILDING TYPES
A single-family townhouse is designed to be occupied by one family.
- A multi-family townhouse is designed to be occupied by multiple families. These property types are often purchased for investment purposes; all or some of the units can be rented out. Multi-family townhouses usually contain at least three units.
- A mixed use townhouse includes both residential and commercial units. Typically this property type is structured as a ground floor retail unit with upper floor residential apartments.
